Distel-LED40
Specifications
- Multichannel distance monitors ---
- stock and custom instruments from TOS Systems Inc.
TOS Systems manufactures the Distel line of
inexpensive distance telemetry equipment for multi-channel distance
measuring. The Distel line contain no moving parts, so has none of the
reliability problems of scanning systems. Each source/detector pair is
located close together, so does not suffer the "shadowing" problems of
wide angle camera systems. The Distel-LED series uses infrared light
emitting diodes (LEDs) to avoid laser safety hazards and regulations.
The Distel-LAS series uses laser diodes to provide better accuracy. TOS
can design custom monitors to provide different number of channels,
distance ranges, mounting arrangements, etc.

Distel-LED40 is a low profile fourty channel monitor which used IR LEDs
spaced 1 inch apart. A typical use would be to locate it upside down
over a conveyor belt to provide a height profile of objects travelling
on the belt.
